Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) grant competition! This year, out of 241 proposals submitted, 142 projects led by 482 ExchangeAlumni in 109 countries were awarded over $4 million in grant funding.

AEIF projects, led by alumni of U.S. government exchange programs and funded by the U.S. Department of State, increase regional and global collaboration between ExchangeAlumni, support U.S. foreign policy objectives, and benefit local communities. U.S. Embassies and Consulates worldwide worked with ExchangeAlumni to submit their proposals.

This year’s projects range from empowering students in vulnerable communities to equipping farmers with climate smart agricultural practices, creating pathways to employment for young mothers, and enhancing young people’s digital and financial literacy in financial technology (fintech) and its application, and much more. Click on the dropdown menus below to learn more about each AEIF project and how ExchangeAlumni will be implementing their projects.

Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded over 600 ExchangeAlumni-led projects around the world.
