Joy Buolamwini developed Code 4 Rights with the mission to ensure that every country in the world has accessible information about local services that support women’s rights and that women are given the opportunity to create beneficial technology.
Exchange alumni Nora Al-Othman and Abdul Aziz Al-Mutairi pair partnered with Training Gate International (TG-I), a leading organization in assessing the needs of the disabled community in Kuwait, to organize a forum on disability issues in Ahmadi, Kuwait.
As a Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Farhed worked with Temple University's Dialogue Institute on the 2008 Fulbright Interfaith Community Action Program to bring together ten religious leaders, scholars, and community leaders from Saudi Arabia, India, Israel, Indonesia, Pakistan, France, Malaysia, Lebanon, England, and Burkina Faso.
Over 65 exchange alumni from Honduras met for two days in the capital Tegucigalpa to establish Innovad H, an alumni association dedicated to development projects and volunteer programs.
Through the Access alumni's interpretation services, medical volunteers were able to provide 1,600 Guatemalans with medication assistance.
