Evan Ryan:
Hello, my name is Evan Ryan. To commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, I hope you will join us as we launch our Lives Without Limits campaign. As the Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, I want to make international exchange programs accessible and inclusive for all.
President Obama has made disability rights a core part of U.S. foreign policy. For us, this means making sure international exchange opportunities are for everyone. The State Department has launched Lives Without Limits campaign to showcase the importance of inclusion in our international exchanges and how learning about new people and cultures makes our world more secure and prosperous. This campaign is a platform for our participants with disabilities to share their stories and experiences. They will show us all what living without limits means to them.
This year as we mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we emphasize that our exchange programs are open to everyone. And, we hope this campaign will encourage people all over the world to apply. Everyone should have access to this unique opportunity.
What does living without limits mean to you? Share your experiences on social media using the hashtag #WithoutLimits. I look forward to hearing from you!
