In 2014, the International Exchange Alumni global online community hosted its fourth annual Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF) project competition. We received more than 1,000 proposals and selected 60 winning teams from over 50 different countries. AEIF invites teams of alumni to propose innovative projects that tackle global issues. Each winning team is eligible to win up to $25,000 to support their project.
AEIF awards are highly competitive. To participate in AEIF, alumni must join together in teams of 5 or more and submit project proposals directly through the Projects and Competitions page. Teams are permitted to have members from multiple countries, and projects are proposed under selected themes. These themes are defined each year at the launch of the AEIF competition.
While implementing their winning projects, teams are encouraged to update fellow exchange participants about challenges and successes on the International Exchange Alumni global online community.
