Recycle for Green Living

I am living in an apartment building in one of the elite neighbourhoods of Boston city. Previously I have lived in so many city development cities, I saw most of the cities have very well organised system of waste management and recycling process. Waste management and recycling is sometime two different organisation in some countries. When I have moved to this place, I went on shopping and tried to buy two separate waste bin for my apartment but I couldn?t find the color that I was looking for. After two or three days, I looked at the guy from my window who was collecting garbage in our apartment building courtyard and found out that he is mixing all the waste (Compost, recyclable and trash) in a black bag and taking those away. I started to question myself, what was the benefit of making those separate in my home because ultimately it is going to be mixed in some point of its journey.
