Fighting Pandemic Misinformation

As the world fights the Covid-19 pandemic, it's also battling rumors and misinformation about the virus that may lead the public to believe and even take harmful actions. Exchange alumni Michelle Ciulla Lipkin of the National Association for Media Literacy and Dr. Ankuran Dutta of Gauhati University joined us on May 20, 2020 to talk about how you can prevent the spread of harmful rumors.

Ciulla Lipkin, who did a U.S. Speaker program in Australia, and Dr. Dutta, who participated in the SUSI program, also shared tips on how to sanitize our minds as well as our hands, verify your sources of information, and be more media literate. They also answered several questions from the audience. Watch the video and learn how you can fight pandemic misinformation!
