Empowering the women & facilitating the schools

With the rapid growth in population education is the basic need of every child and it is the responsibility of the government to provide it. However, due to the insufficient numbers of government schools, it could not address the needs with its particular challenges. Since the area is packed with private schools that mostly shoulder the burden of government regarding primary and secondary education, most of the workforce comprising young ladies consist of teachers. These schools are always short of teachers due to consistent up-gradation of qualification, salaries and work hours. Taleem Art wants to target this issue by providing teachers training, in this way we will not only help the school to get qualified well trained teachers but also provide an opportunity to the teachers to get a stable earning source for themselves.

Read to build myself

Expiration: June 30, 2020

As research shows, Literacy is one of the first tools needed to understand the world and to assimilate knowledge. An adult will read a book to distract himself, a child will read a book to build himself. It’s important first to create a link between the storytelling in the book and the children and to promote our African’s values through beautiful historytelling.
My project is to open african library to make book acessible to children, with an african books selection, to make reading attractive and adapted. Then children will found back interest on reading book.

Early Morning School Feed Program

Expiration: June 25, 2020

I am a member of the Linstead Community Development Centre which aims to facilitate growth within the community. We are currently working with a primary and junior high school in assisting with early morning school feed program for kids that are unable to have that first meal of the day. The team has been working assiduously to make this happen but as a result of lack of funds, we are unable to feed all the kids in the morning.

Long term goal is to also provide and assist with lunch program for kids in the same predicament. Young kids are unable to focus without a proper meal and we are trying our best to get as much of them out as possible so as to earn a good education.
Any assistance granted would be greatly appreciated.
