Fuelless Generator

In a country charaterised by epileptic power supply, and generators are been used as a constant backup which causes emission of gases to the atmosphere endangering the ozone layer, and with a high cost of attendant cost of putting fuel in the generator for effective power supply. We sought out for ways to ravage this situation after a long hour of brainstorming, we came up with the idea of a fuelless generator, a generator that runs without fuel.

Trash to Cash

Two of the greatest challenges facing humanity in the 21st century is providing food for a burgeoning population and keeping the environment safe for future generations. In Nigeria, like most developing countries, there is indiscriminate felling of trees for wood and charcoal and ignorance on alternative ways of making charcoal. There is also great harm done to the environment (air, water and soil) due to wood and coal fires from bush burning ( or slash –and-burn agriculture), high rate of deforestation, loss of biodiversity, health issues from smoke inhalation and impoverishment due to high cost of domestic fuel in Nigeria. To save our environment, carry out sustainable agriculture and mitigate biodiversity loss we came up with production of charcoal through Pyrolysis of agric-waste (corn, cobs, dried stalk, rice husk etc) in custom made vessels. We organized a comprehensive workshop for members of two communities (training over 200 people). We planted over 5000 tree seedlings in Daudu village, Guma LGA of Benue State, gainfully employing aimless youths in charcoal production and reducing tree felling by 40% in six months.

Study on the formation mechanism of noncrystalline nanominerals driven by organic ferlizers in Red soil

The project will provide a new opinion about the regulation of noncrystalline nanominerals in soils by fertilization practices and the sequestration and stability of soil organic matter (SOM) by soil noncrystalline nanominerals, which contributes to our understanding of the sequestration of SOM and provides novel information for scientific research and engineering applications.
