As part of the Priority Program Priority Area of Economic Growth and Development, we are proposing to develop and operate a Technology Entrepreneurship and ICT Leadership Accelerator program for start-up and early stage technology company founders and managers in the Bangui region. The goals of the Technology Entrepreneurship and ICT Leadership Accelerator Program are assisting and mentoring early stage company founders and managers to increase their potential for building successful and viable businesses, furthering their overall ICT leadership capacity, contributing to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship in Bangui and Central African Republic and developing a network of technology entrepreneurs. As a joint initiative of George Mason University and the University of Bangui, the program would increase partnering and cooperation between the U.S. and Central African Republic. In addition, the program will recruit 15 – 20 technology entrepreneurship mentors in each of the U.S. and the Central African Republic who will provide insight and guidance to the business founders and managers as well as form a cohort themselves providing for exchange on U.S. and Central African Republic business policy and culture.
