TEDxSecunderabad “Unlocking South Asia’s Potential” gathered exchange alumni from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka in Hyderabad, India for a day filled with inspiring talks, enlightening discussions and riveting performances. In the typical 18-minute format, the speakers—all of whom were exchange alumni—delivered talks on topics ranging from role of youth in the national decision making process to the need for regional economic cooperation, from involving women in conflict resolution to entrepreneurship.
In line with the theme, the event brought together more than 100 young thinkers and doers from Hyderabad, India on a common platform to share breakthrough ideas towards creating a better future for communities, cities, nations and the region.
While sharing elements of their cultures, histories, religions, and languages, participants recognized common challenges, such as the quality of education, employment opportunities, and issues of governance and democracy. TEDxSecunderabad was a unique opportunity that brought together bright young people who will play an important role in addressing these issues in the future.
