Alumni of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program are known for their creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm. These qualities are exhibited no better than in a recent video created by the network of former American Serbia and Montenegro Youth Leadership Exchange (A-SMYLE) and FLEX alumni welcoming the next generation returning from their programs in the United States this summer.
The A-SMYLE Program has allowed 560 Serbian and Montenegrin high school students to spend a year in the United States, living with a host family and attending a U.S. high school. In the 2016-2017 academic year, A-SMYLE alumni will join the nearly 24,000 alumni of the FLEX program.
In what has become a tradition, A-SMYLE and FLEX alumni from Serbia and Montenegro gather for Global Youth Service Day. In addition to participating in community service, the alumni produce a creative welcome video for the next generation of FLEX alumni. This year’s video features music by Major Lazer & DJ Snake. The returning fifty A-SMYLE/ FLEX participants certainly know they have a fantastic network of alumni to "lean on" when they return to their communities in Serbia and Montenegro!
