Get Ready for the 2015 YSEALI Summit
The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Summit will be one of our largest events yet – providing an opportunity for 500 young leaders from all 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries to network, learn about regional challenges, and do hands-on work to come up with solutions. Launched in 2013, YSEALI is U.S. President Barack Obama’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. The Summit will bring together alumni from previous YSEALI programs to take their skills to the next level, with a focus on learning how to develop effective online media campaigns. At the Summit, taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, these young leaders will work in teams to create public awareness campaigns about issues that span all four YSEALI themes: environmental protection, civic engagement, education, and economic development. Participants will then take those campaigns back to their home countries after the event. If you want to be part of the YSEALI Summit, follow YSEALI on Facebook and Twitter to learn about the opportunity to attend as a digital delegate, where you can help us share more about YSEALI with our social media followers throughout Southeast Asia!
