Join us to hear from Dr. Anne Cook, Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of Utah and ExchangeAlumni of the U.S. Speaker Program to hear more about the role of AI and its impact in higher education on MentorTalks.

On Friday, November 22 at 2pm EST, tune in to hear more about the evolution of AI, the potential for its application, and important considerations surrounding AI use. Dr. Cook has spearheaded the effort to develop resources and guidance for faculty at the University of Utah, and we’ll hear from her directly on some of the ways it can boost engagement and support students and teachers alike.

Dr. Cook will also share on her experiences as a U.S. Speaker, and her time traveling across the world to share with communities about the potential of AI.

Speaker Bio

Dr. Anne Cook is a Professor of Educational Psychology and the Director of the Martha Bradley Evans Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of Utah in the United States. In her 20+ career as a faculty member at the University of Utah, she has conducted research and published papers on the role of cognition in complex academic tasks, such as reading and problem solving. She teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in this area, as well as courses in research methodology and statistics. In her current role in the Center for Teaching Excellence, she directs faculty development efforts related to pedagogy across the university.
