LEARNING NUTRITION AND HEALTHY EATING HABITS

AUTISM SUPPORT CENTER (KENYA) COORDINATES A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENGAGE YOUTH WITH AUTISM AND OTHER DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES. AFTER SPENDING SEVERAL WEEKS WITH THESE CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IT BECAME OBVIOUS HOW POOR THEIR DIETS ARE AND HOW BADLY THESE CHILDREN NEED MORE NUTRITION IN ORDER TO LESSEN THE SEVERITY OF THEIR CONDITIONS. MOST FAMILIES THAT AUTISM SUPPORT CENTER WORK WITH ARE VERY POOR AND THEREFORE CANNOT THE NECESSARY NUTRITION. AUTISM SUPPORT CENTER IS TAKING THE INITIATIVE TO TEACH THE MOTHERS OF THESE CHILDREN HOW TO MAKE NUTRITIONAL AND EASILY AFFORDABLE SOUPS AND SOFT FOODS THEIR CHILDREN WILL BE ABLE TO EAT AND DIGEST WITH EASE.

This project aspires to enhance communicative English proficiency of Madrasah pupils so that they can play their due role in nation building responsible citizens in this era of globalization. The training program of this project also aims to develop Madrasah pupils? better understanding of the history, society and culture of American people and it will help Madrasah pupils overcome their orthodox views and doubts against English and American diplomatic policies.

Pattani- Chiang Mai: Environmental Studies for Youth

Pattani- Chiang Mai: Environmental Studies for Youth is a two weeks workshop focuses on various environmental issues in Thailand. Youths that attend the workshop will be selected from the conflict zones in southern parts of Thailand including Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat province. The main activities for the workshop will take place at two locations; the first week in Pattani, and the second week in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Save the Earth Project by MAAP-SUSI

Earth Day is an annual event most commonly celebrated on the April 22. Earth Day is a day on which people around the world gather to participate in activities and demonstrations aimed at raising public awareness about a variety of environmental issues including air pollution, water pollution, habitat destruction, renewable energy, climate change, species losses, and environmental policies. The history of Earth Day is rooted in the 1970s, during a time when the modern environmental movement was gaining momentum. In conjunction with this significant day, we are organizing this campaign to increase awareness and educate students on the eco-knowledge and green sustainability.

Project Better Futures is an intensive leadership program for young people, which focuses on solving sustainability issues. The course will train its participants to identify problems on sustaiability, challenge them to creatively innovate sustainable solutions, and finally implementing them.

AEIF 2012: Online Interactive Video Program for Chilean Adults Seeking their Secondary Education Certificate

Pilot project will be implemented in the Maule Region -200 miles south from Santiago de Chile-. It will target 100 adults who will receive scholarships to finish their high school diplomas through free access to online training. It is hoped that some version of the online curriculum will be adopted widely.

Most of our US exchange scholars (including of myself) often came up with innovative and enrich ideas of implementing US educational contents in our local education classes. The change in designing as well as re-organize our local teaching syllabi by using state-of-the-art US approach of teaching styles and materials will essentially set-up a new learning environment for the pupils at school.

Mekong Delta is a region largely covered by water with a network of rivers as well as well-known for distinct mangrove forests. Such delta plays an important role to the agriculture, aquaculture, economy and life of local people in the whole region. However, in recent days, water pollution, forest loss and invasion of salt water are becoming environmental threats to the ecosystem of this region. Thus, the project ?Green day for green children? helps convey the message of protecting our living environment to young children in an interactive and efficient way.
