Construction/Revamping of Youth Training Center (Startup Capital)

Expiration: December 16, 2022

Since 13 August 2019 I have been striving to secure from Walvis Bay Municipal council a building that has been abandoned for over 25 years which became a dumping site within the community causing health hazard to community members that live close by. On 6 September 2022 through determination, persistence and resilience I was granted final approval to secure the building with extra portion of 1653 squares of land to construct Sage By Dee Entrepreneurs Academy as part of my long-term plan to establish a youth training center since we don't have one in our second biggest city of the country. This will be a life changing opportunity for our youth and community development to curb escalating challenges such as teenage pregnancies as early as 13 year olds, hunger, poverty, increasing crime and unemployment rate, lack of voice and exploitation. Sage By Dee Entrepreneurs Academy is established to improve opportunities for people in Namibia especially the creative individuals who are academically challenged because they are creative by nature and is unemployed. Sage By Dee Entrepreneurs Academy will ignite entrepreneurs for self-sustainability, self-confidence, inclusion and economic growth. We aim to bring about change and opportunities to our communities therefore aim to offer limited or newer services of creative skills courses and provide actual equipment/instruments upon completion of training to students to immediately start their entrepreneurial journey.

Women empowerment

Expiration: April 7, 2023

Unemployment, poverty and illiteracy among women are spread in Mauritania for several factors, the most important of which are early marriage and divorce, and some communitie’s view of women, as they are often not allowed to practice some professions. Moreover, many husbands never fulfill their responsibilities towards their children after divorce.

All this made women more vulnerable to poverty and starvation, especially women who are heads of families.

At the Kiffa Center for Languages, Informatics and Training, OBS, we decided to launch a vocational training course for this type of women in order to empower them, enhance their capabilities and provide them with the skills necessary to enter the labor market and production.

Most of these women are income deprived and do not have any skills that would help improve their living conditions.

We will provide them with the necessary training in order to become leaders and provide sustainable employment opportunities for others. 60 women and girls will be selected during the first phase of the training. After the training, we will finance their projects, follow all stages of production and marketing, and our experts will provide the necessary guidance and direction.

We hope that 1,000 people will benefit from this intervention in just two years, and that it will provide more than 5,000 new job opportunities

FEM TECH

Expiration: December 31, 2023

I would like to set up gaming parlours/hives in Zambia to be led by women from underserved communities. The gaming parlours/hives will solve the problem of access to high tech entertainment for people that cannot afford high end gaming equipment in densely populated areas of Zambia while simutaneously offering low cost entertainment away from alcohol abuse and gambling for the youths. This is a social enterpreneurship model that is highly scalable, hence will benefit a lot of women and girls who will be empowered through the same system. Proceeds will also go towards combatting menstrual poverty, promoting menstrual health, providing safe havens for victims of sexual abuse, building a wellness center for mental health. I need funding to buy gaming equipment to setup, spaces to rent, employ people and empower other women. The gaming industry is fast paced and growing exponentially in Zambia and I would like to fill the gap for women involvement.
