Development of novel methods for aflatoxin mitigation and management practices for value addition in chilies in India

The research focuses on analyzing post harvest management practices of red chili India. The study is expected to develop a non-destructive FTNIR quantification method for aflatoxin in red chili followed by novel cold plasma detoxification of aflatoxin.

Description

I'm assigned for the Professional Development Experience with the University of Minnesota Extension to learn how a successful public institution is using its expertise to sustain communities needs in agriculture and food systems; clean energy; natural resources; resilient communities since 20 years . During the 3 days retreat to prepare an agenda, work models and goals for the next 5 to 10 years, I learnt how can we involve everyone in the process to build community .
