Apply for the YSEALI Seeds for the Future Competition!

Are you a member of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative? Also called YSEALI. Get ready to participate in the YSEALI Seeds for The Future competition! 
This is your chance to win up to $10,000 to support public service projects that you design! 
 
This past year, the "Streams of Hope Project" won SEED money to help clean rivers in countries part of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, known as ASEAN.Another project won seed money to launch a series of dialogues on the 2015 ASEAN economic integration.
 
To become a YSEALI Member, you must be between the ages of 18 and 35 and a resident of or citizen of an ASEAN country. If you meet these requirements, simply click on "Become a Member" at YSEALI.STATE.GOV. 
 
If you think your project has what it takes to win this year log into: alumni.state.gov and start building it today! 
 
You can submit projects under 4 project categories: one, economic development, two, environmental protection, three, education, and four, civic engagement.
 
To get started on your application simply click "Submit Your Project." A project submission form will then guide you through the process. Here are some tips to build a STRONG proposal:Your team must have at least 4 members. Two of these members must be citizens or residents of at least two ASEAN countries.And at least two need to be alumni from a U.S. Government sponsored program.
 
Only alumni team members will be able to build and submit projects online at alumni.state.gov.
 
Need help finding team members? Use the YSEALI Facebook & Twitter accounts to find potential team members using the hashtag #TeamYSEALI. You can add in your team members in the project submission form. Now it's time for our favorite topic, deadlines.
 
The applications submission period open on July 15th. And all projects must be submitted through the website no later than midnight on August 1st Eastern Daylight Time.
 
You can vote for YSEALI projects between July 15 and August 8. Your project will be eligible for "votes" as soon as you submit it.That's' right! Your fellow YSEALI members can help pick the winners!
