Sustainability Ambassadors

Like many cities in Asia, Hong Kong has a high waste generation rate. Teaching our young generation about recycling is essential for a sustainable future. Through the project, a series of seminar and hands-on design workshops will be offered to children to promote the importance of awareness of and participation in recycling for environmental protection and sustainability.

Right Decision, Bright Future

The project is to fill a gap in career counseling for high school students. curriculum and online tool will be developed for trainers to provide career counseling so that high school students will make informed decisions for their career. The online tool is easier to disseminate rather than having trainers travel given Mongolia's vast territory with scarce population.

Remember the Fun

The main goals of this project are to decrease the amount of underage drinkers in the city of Vara?din by educating youth about alcohol consumption and offering fun activities and events where they can have fun, but the alcohol is unavailable and restricted. Also, the aim is to create a positive attitude towards non-drinking.

Discussing Educational Reform in Iceland

Inspired by her participation in the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship this past summer, Unnur Larusdottir demonstrated her leadership capabilities by organizing a conference on education in her home country, Iceland. Over 200 guests attended the conference, including students, leaders from local universities, journalists, and high ranking members of Parliament.

Panama English Teacher Match Program

Partners of the Americas will bring eighteen American English teachers to Panama to work along-side Panamanian public middle and high school English teachers for four- six weeks in the summer of 2015. The Teacher Match program will increase English language capacity as well as provide valuable professional development opportunities for U.S. teachers overseas. Teachers will share U.S. language, culture and values with students and colleagues, and return to the U.S. with increased knowledge of Panama and its people and international classroom experience. Students and teachers in Panama will improve their English language abilities and learn from and share diverse experiences and pedagogical backgrounds.

Construction of a dojo in Senegal for the children and teenegers

My project is to build a dojo and a social center for the children, the teenegers and the young peoples (less than 25 years old) in Senegal in Casamance. I really hope that my project will do until 2018.
