Workshop attendees will be introduced to the history, functionality, and application potential of OSM to their classroom, and a variety of different content areas. Attendees will join a Slack to continue collaboration and receive technical support from TeachOSM volunteers on integrating OSM into their classrooms during the 2019-2020 school year.

Expiration: December 30, 2019In South Sudan, the September 2018 Revitalized Peace Agreement is a benchmark to restore the hopes of the people as they return from the Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps and refugee settlements in the neighboring Uganda and DR Congo. Meaning, the social losses attributed to violence, especially call for renovation that focus on understanding the mutual interface of peace and development that is equal. Instead for youth to focus on tribal, ethnic, religious, political issues, VAD South Sudan will use the grant to advocate for developmental issues by mitigating conflict that may arise. Conflict mitigation could play key role in mainstreaming underdevelopment and prevent violence that disrupt the social and physical environment of the affected population.

Program Manager of the Thomas Jefferson Scholarships program which is an exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State for Tunisian undergraduate students spend one academic year in the U.S to gain technical skills in a chose field of study to go back to Tunisia and help support its economic development. Started in 2013, the program currently have over 500 alumni.
