Inspiring and Equipping Women to Succeed in Irish Politics (AEIF 2012)

Alumni will run programs to inspire and equip women to succeed in politics. The ultimate goals are to inspire women to put themselves forward as candidates in the 2014 local elections, equip these women with the necessary tools and skills to win, and to design and develop a program of support for women going forward for election. The project is led by an Individual grant alumnus and a steering committee comprised of alumni of various U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs.

Mentoring Business Women in Rural Georgia (AEIF 2012)

The International Businesswomen's Network of Georgia (IBWNG), under the leadership of an IVLP alumna, seeks to connect and empower women entrepreneurs in the more remote regions across Georgia by providing business training and strategies. The project will also showcase the cultural highlights and entrepreneurial efforts in these regions. Additionally, the project will connect the IBWNG with a larger network of European women colleagues and build on the connections between alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs.

Kinawataka Women Initiatives

We seek to mobilize and sensitize the less privileged women in our community about their rights in various sectors so as to fight poverty, diseases and illiteracy. We encourage them to get involved in projects that use locally available materials. We aim at eliminating poverty and raise the standard of living amongst women and our community as a whole.
