Support for Earthquake relief in northwest Syria

A powerful earthquake recently struck the northwest region of Syria, causing widespread damage and leaving many families in need of immediate support. The disaster has had a profound impact on the local communities, disrupting lives and causing widespread suffering.

In response to this crisis, we are reaching out to individuals and organizations who are passionate about making a positive impact in the world. Student mentorship and school rejuvenation project

This project has been supporting students in high school form 1-4 in Usigu Division, Bondo Subcounty, Siaya County, Kenya. It targets 10,000 student sessions over a period of the next 2 years. It entails identifying a resource person, facilitating the person to the venue, organizing with the host school, and making the presentation. 6 schools are targeted in the mentorship program, covering Barkanyango Boys, Jusa Mixed, Majengo Mixed, Wambasa mixed and Mago Mixed. So far at least 20 sessions involving 1000 learners has been done over the last 2 years. Over and above the above, a lot of motivation has been put in to support the learner. Many talks are organized and implemented. In addition, trophies and badges have ben made to encourage hard workers to sustain the efforts. Also, cash awards to teachers and students has been initiated, with a total of Kshs 36,000 issued this year (Kshs 18,000 to students and Kshs 18,000 to teachers). In addition, Prof Augustine Afullo has in the past donated Kshs 5,000 for teachers whose subjects had As and B Pluses, direct cash award in the staffroom. After the last exams, the BOM chairman also made a personal donation of Kshs 1500 to the top three students, with a view to encouraging them get good scores. This is in addition to the Kshs 20,000 fee support given to two students of Form 4 and Form 2 in 2020. The BOM Chair has organized for a classroom construction worth USD 10,000; an integrated mentorship program worth USD 10,000. so far the board collected USD 1,000 for enhanced breakfast to take care of student welfare needs during their last national examinations. For Barkanyango, however, a further step is taken: rejuvenating the school infrastructure. The two top agenda here are one classroom of 50/60 students, and a water roof catchment project. Empowerment Of the Youth Centre Of GOURRAMA

The ‘Empowerment of the youth centre of Gourrama’ ‘s project funded by LEGACY INTERNATIONAL as a part of the Professional fellows Program spring 2017 ; the project team would like to acknowledge the support of our Program Managers and leaders of change . During an amazing exchanging program with Legacy international organization and as a finalist to the Professional Fellows Program (PFP-NA); in a goal to develop ways and to transfer skills gained during this wonderful experience to our communities in terms of Social Entrepreneurship, Employability and Ecology/Sustainable Development / Education, Community Service and Development, Work with people with disabilities. Project Goal: Empower Gourrama’s children by developing their skills through Cultural educational activities and programs. 1. Building a team work for life skills activities between Errouad staff and the director of the youth centre with teachers and trainers from other organizations and schools and high school. 2. Create a sustainable program and an after school activities go in line with students’ wishes and their inspirations for a great orientation of the future.

Escape with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is a non-profit organization that utilizes customized, hands-on interactive STEM based puzzles and fun “locked room” experiences to inspire students to explore STEM related education and career opportunities. With COVID, we pivoted to an online version of the STEM based escape rooms www.escapewithstem.com.

NUTRITION PROJECT

As a nutritionist I’ll do my best to overcome, different challenge of malnutrition in order to
rescue vulnerable people. The idea is to have a composition of meal from natural food in
order to struggle against malnutrition. We’ll try to innovate something special in nutrition
like creating an application. This application will guide us to compose different diet from local
food to different patients according to their nutrient density. In other case, we’ll organize
many trainings, concerning a caring program for children and pregnant women who
suffering from malnutrition. Inside the town we’ll have a program of competition named
“nutrition for all” with many schools. The idea is to have an approach to vulgarize nutrition
knowledge within the society via national TV. We have already our association named
“URGENCE CONTRE LA FAIM”, through it, I’ll handle the project and trying to work on it together.
